Shepherd School of Music
Duncan Recital Hall
Rice University
$20 (General), $10 (Seniors over 65), $10 (Students)
Well known clarinetist Richard Nunemaker, the Shepherd School of Music Clarinet Ensemble, and friends will present a program of music that includes compositions by Steve Reich, Jody Rockmaker, and Rice University’s Richard Lavenda and Arthur Gottschalk (this last a world premiere!). Retiring after 41 years with the Houston Symphony has obviously not slowed Nunemaker’s remarkable career, as this concert will show. On a historical note, his first CD Golden Petals was funded in part by the Foundation for Modern Music, for which we are very proud to have contributed.
