West of the World was officially established in 2003, although we began working in web design as a side interest many years earlier to support our other small business efforts.

In April 2002, we designed a new identity for the Briargrove Elementary School web site, creating a welcoming, fun and informative presence on the web that is inviting to students, families, and teachers alike. We have continued to volunteer our services as webmasters for the school from that time until the present.

As the site grew in popularity within the community, many people began asking us if we could provide graphic design and web development services for their small businesses. In response to the increasing interest, we decided to launch West of the World, and are proud to now support the efforts of many other businesses within the Briargrove community and beyond.

Drawing upon Kristine's background as an art/art history major at the University of Oklahoma, as well as her experience working within the information technology/Internet industry for the last 8 years, we are able to provide you with a well-rounded solution to your web development and other graphic design needs. Kristine's extensive professional experience includes graphic ad design, copywriting and editing of marketing materials and press releases, management of Internet marketing campaigns, email list management, Internet advertising sales, and workshop development and presentation. These skills are supported by Jay's creative insight and skills as a digital photographer.
